There is a way to fix corrupted psp saves from different firmwares, I’m pretty sure you can even use it to edit the unencrypted save files with the proper Gamekey.

Before you start, remember to backup all your save files. I cannot stress how important this is. Don’t be a fool, backup your files.

You’ll need the following files:
1. Gamekey for GodEater (ULJS00237.bin)
2. SED installed
3. Your non-working saved file

Here are instructions:
1. Put the ULJS00237.bin into your PSP\GAME\SED\gamekey\ directory

2. Run SED from the memory stick

3. Choose the non-working saved file, press the triangle key, and select 解密 (decrypt)

4. Select “YES”.

5. You should see 解密完成 (finished decrypting), after which quit SED.

6. From the PSP’s menu, select GAME > SAVED DATA UTILITY > non-working save file, DELETE. (YES, DELETE)

7. Run GodEater from the GAME > MEMORY STICK > GodEater. Create any character, save the game. Then quit the game.

9. Run SEC from the memory stick again8. This time, select the NEW WORKING SAVED FILE, and select 加密 (encrypt)

10. Select “Yes”

11. If all is well, you should see this 加密完成, if you see something like 解密済デ一タありません go find out how to fix it using the link on the bottom.

12. Run GodEater from the memory stick again, and this time load the file, you will realise that save actually is incorrect, but load it anyway.

13. Oh what do we have here? My original saved file? : D Everything is intact, except for the download quests.

14. It’s not complete until you save again, VIOLA!

Anyways, enough of the phone, let’s get to the main topic, installing chinese IME on this phone. Interestingly, penpower actually has free input software for the nokia n900. Of course, this is due to the hard work of the folks who are modifying mscim for n900 in the first place, but seriously, the pp software really kicks ass.

Otherwise, follow these steps:
- Access phone menu (touching the top left, where there are six squares)
- Select “More..”
- Select “App Manager”
- Select “Application Manager” dropdown
- Select “Application catalogues”
- Select “New”

Enter the following: (Only the web address and distribution are important.)

Catalogue name: Maemo Extras-devel
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free
Do not click the “Disabled” checkbox

- Select “Save”
The Application Manager will reload the applications you can install from this new repository.

- Select “Application Manager”

Search for, and install these applications in the following order:

- mscim
- n900-locales-ppchinese
- mscim-n900-ppinputmethod

At this point, you can go to the system menu, settings, language & region, device language > and select either “chinese prc, chinese taiwan, or chinese hongkong”

To activate/de-activate the PowerPen ime, hold the CTRL + SPACEBAR.

To de-activate certain input methods, you can goto system menu, settings, MSCIM input methods.

There’s several input methods, in my opinion, it’s better than the free stuff you can install on your windows computer.

- Stroke based keyboard input system (Select 木 three times, and a 森 will appear)
- There is another kind of stroked based keyboard input system but I’m not familiar with usage
- QWERTY Pinyin input
- Handwriting input

You will need the following setup if you do not already have them:

Get into recovery mode (Hold Home + Power when turning on)
Format your microSD Card, use the create partition option to easily create your different partitions
I used 512 ext2, 128 swap and the remaining as my fat32.
Convert ext2 to ext3
Convert ext3 to ext4

At this point you will know you have succeeded when you plug your microSD card into an external card reader, it will show a less amount of space available, since some of them have been taken up by the swap and ext4 partition.

Enable USB, copy the files into your microSD Card.
Disable USB

Wipe (data/factory reset)
Flash with version 1.
Let it boot, first time is a little slow.
This is very important, but it was not stressed enough. DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS ON YOUR PHONE YET.
After when it shows the screen lock STILL, DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS DON’T EVEN TRY TO UNLOCK IT. If you see some app has crashed, you didn’t wait long enough.
Wait for 5 to 10 mins.
Sign in with the usual setup to configure your google account. Now, if you didn’t listen, you will find that you can’t configure your google account on the setup screen. Then you’ll have to reflash it again.
Verify that you can access your google apps.
Enter Recovery mode again.
Flash with version 1.1.2

If your google apps are not working even though you have signed in, most likely you did not setup the ext4 partition on your microSD card correctly.

Problem: You delete your twitter account, and then you add another tweeter account, but tweetdeck doesn’t save your data and there’s no way to select your default account. I believe it stores the data somewhere, sometimes, you can just install a new version of tweekdeck and it’ll work, other times you have to delete where it previously stored the data.

Solution for windows xp:

Click Start, Select “run”.
In the box that appears, type this:

%APPDATA%\Adobe\AIR\ELS\

Delete the directories that start with “TweetDeckFast…..”

Next,

Click Start, Select “run”.
In the box that appears, type this:

%APPDATA%

Delete the directories that start with “TweetDeckFast…..”

Start TweetDeck

In case you were wondering, I believe, most, if not all BlackBerry applications are running on java. When you download a BlackBerry application from a website, it actually downloads a text file called “application_name.jad” which instructs the BlackBerry to download and install the various installation files onto your BlackBerry. If not, let me know, I’ll tinker with it when I have the opportunity to do so : x

If you open the .jad file with a text editor, you will find that it contains the following instructions/configurations:

• SHA Keys for encryption/checksums
• Filesize
• Packaged file name (application_name.jar)
• Descriptions
• COD-URL (List of files to download – application.cod, application-1.cod, application-2.cod, etc, etc.)
• COD-Size (List of the corresponding file sizes)
• Module-name of application
• etc, etc.

Turn on your BlackBerry, plug it to your computer with your USB cable. Run JL_Cmder.cmd which you got from JL_Cmder.zip. At this point, you should be able to see a screen similar to this:

For debugging purposes, you can select eventlog (option 2). This will dump the eventlog from the phone, onto notepad for you to view through. Look through the last few lines where it says “error” or “failed”.

In most cases, deleting the offending files will enable you to narrow down which applications are causing you problems. Do note that one application may consist of several cod files to delete. You will need to access the cmd.exe from windows, navigate to where you unzipped the JL_Cmder, and run the following command:

javaloader.exe -u erase -f FILENAME

where FILENAME is the name of the .cod file

So, it could look like this:

javaloader.exe -u erase -f application.cod
javaloader.exe -u erase -f application-1.cod
javaloader.exe -u erase -f application-2.cod

At this point, you should quit JL_Cmder, try to reboot your phone, and pray that it works. If it does, do remember to use the BlackBerry Desktop application to make a backup. Just in case. *wink*

If it doesn’t you have the option of wiping your BlackBerry (option 4), or resettofactory (option 5).

Before you start, it is important to backup your entire database. It’s just common sense you know. Backup your views (if any) and your queries also. Do not forget your custom reports (System > Design > Reports), at this point I might point out that when editing/saving a custom report, you should set the grade to anything other than a 0. Because 0 will let it get overwritten.

3. Install xTuple-3.4.0-windows-installer.exe, choosing only to install the client.

If you’re facing issues with PostBooks/xTuple, I would strongly recommend that you register a user account in their community forums, they are pretty quick and knowledgeable, which is really cool for an open sourced company.

Bonus 3A: If you carry an geeky device, make sure you have hacked it to do “additional features”. ie. jailbreaked your iphone to change a theme. Or your pda can replace your car remote, or your psp can use the latest custom firmware, etc, etc.

Scientific America, BBC Weekly, WSJ, Sunday Shonen, Dilbert, etc, etc. This way, you can quote intelligent people and still be a fashionable geek.

Rule 5: You must have a stubborn point of view, which can only be validated by an obscure source, which only a fellow geek will understand. For example, IE6 is baddddd.

Rule 6: Pick a god. When I mean god, I mean supreme entity which you will kneel down and call father to if he/she/it ever appears in front of you. ie. Jimmy Choo, Mark Zuckerberg, Sergey Brin, Larry Page, Steve Jobs, Hideo Kojima, Satoru Iwata, Nobuo Uematsu, Neil Gaiman, Stan Lee, Rumiko Takahashi, Akira Toriyama, etc, etc.
